ANARCHIST A_ BY TOSKOVAT
Fragrance Family: Aromatic · Woody · Synthetic
Perfumer: David-Lev Jipa-Slivinschi, Founder of Toskovat (Romania)

Anarchist A_ is not just a perfume — it’s an act of defiance.

Conceived by David-Lev Jipa-Slivinschi, this fragrance was released during the Christmas season as a direct critique of modern consumerism, spiritual decay, and systemic hypocrisy. It asks: what have we traded in for comfort? And who pays the price for our illusions of safety, success, and salvation?

The scent is a slow-burning metaphor. It references drug use, corruption, violence, and religious contradiction — but never explicitly. David gives us clues. Symbols. Shadows. He has described Anarchist A_ as a way to confront what we choose to look away from: the broken systems we still bow to.

Top Notes: The Illusion of Escape

Credit Cards, Snow, Whiskey

The opening is bright but artificial. “Snow” might sound pure — but here, it clearly hints at cocaine. Paired with credit cards and whiskey, this is a portrait of indulgence masking emptiness. It’s the luxury we’re sold — and the cold detachment it leaves behind.

Heart Notes: Cracks in the Facade

Dirty Dollars, Ink, Candle Wax

The heart is bitter, symbolic, and deeply human. Dirty money and permanent ink reflect systems built on exploitation. Candle wax feels sacred but spent — the ghost of ritual. These accords recall confession rooms, silent deals, and trauma buried under power.

Base Notes: Confession and Collapse

Plastic Bag, Priest’s Clothes, Holy Water, Precious Woods, Olibanum Sacra Resin Green

The base is thick with contradiction. Plastic bag — cheap, suffocating, disposable. Priest’s robes and holy water — sacred symbols turned sour. There’s violence here. Abuse. Power cloaked in reverence. And yet, in the precious woods and olibanum resin, there’s something redemptive too — like a last flicker of truth refusing to go out.

A Fragrance That Doesn’t Flinch

Anarchist A_ was, by David’s own admission, an uncomfortable scent to release. But it’s one that had to exist. It critiques both society and perfumery — questioning our need for beauty while holding a mirror to what beauty can obscure. It is unapologetic, intelligent, and disturbingly real.

Wear it if you want to say something. Or better yet — start a conversation with it.
